A fun Canada Day event was held inside the Old Town Hall (due to inclement weather) on July 1, 2017. The highlight was the period costuming of many of those in attendance. A "fashion parade" was held, showcasing the detail of the period clothing. Several winners were chosen, but everyone was a winner - all looked great. Following a pot-luck picnic lunch, games for kids and adults were held. These would have been typical in 1867 such as flour sack races, three-legged races, cherry pit spitting contest, shoe kick contest and a nail driving contest. It's an understatement to say that a good time was had by all - the photos speak to that.
